The short version: this is coaching, the first call is free, and the work is a collaboration.
Coaching, not therapy
Groundwork with Samaneh offers relational and life coaching. Coaching isn’t psychotherapy, counselling, or medical or mental-health care, and it isn’t a substitute for them. Samaneh’s perspective is informed by a background in psychotherapy, but in Groundwork she works as a coach, and Groundwork doesn’t assess or address mental-health conditions.
If you’re in crisis, call or text 988 (Canada) or go to your nearest emergency department.
The discovery call
The first call is free, takes about 15 minutes, and happens by video. It’s a chance for both of us to see whether we’re a good fit. There’s no obligation to go further.
Packages and payment
If we decide to work together, Samaneh sends a personalized coaching package and a payment link after the call. No payments are taken on this website, and there is no public price list.
Booking, rescheduling and cancelling
How to reschedule or cancel a session, and what happens with missed sessions, is set out in your package agreement before you start.
No guaranteed outcomes
Coaching is a collaboration. What changes depends on many things, including the practice you do between sessions, so no particular result is promised. You remain responsible for your own choices and actions.
The quiz and the journal
The quiz is a reflection, not a label or an assessment. Journal pieces and resources are for general reflection and education, not individual advice.
